2009 Accomplishments

PLEASE LOOK AT WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED IN 2009!

Total money paid out: $22,876.21 in individual and theatre scholarships plus gift to DSA, our Partner in Education

Eleven students received a total of $14,759.21: DeKalb School of the Arts (formerly DeKalb Center for the Performing Arts) 5 Summer Scholarships; Pebblebrook High School Performing Arts (Cobb County) 3 scholarships; Tri-Cities High School Performing Arts (Fulton County) 2 scholarships and North Atlanta High School Performing Arts (Fulton County) 1 scholarship. These students attended the following summer programs: Tanglewood Institute, MA; Interlochen Center for the Arts Summer Arts Camp, MI; Strings International Music Festival, PA; Georgia Ballet, GA; Oklahoma City University Performing Arts Academy, OK; University of Miami’s Frost School of Music/Young Musicians’ Camp, FL; Savannah College of Art and Design Summer Seminar Program, GA; Columbia College Spoken Word Program, IL; Young Artists Vocal Program South America and FSU Music Camp, FL.

Four area theater programs received $2721.00 in Summer Scholarships. They are: The Alliance Theatre Youth Players; Atlanta Shakespeare Company at the New American Shakespeare Tavern Summer Intensive; Atlanta Workshop Players Performing Arts Camp; and Georgia Ensemble Theatre Performance Camp.

TRMF purchased 27 Cases at $5369.00 for DSA’s move to a new location: 10 Wardrobe Travel Cases, 3 Cable Trunks, 4 Heavy Duty Racks, 1 Space Rack/Mixer, 2 ATA cases for CD’s 2 row CD, 1 case for Mirror Balls, 2 Cube Trunks, 3 Work cases, 2 12 Microphone with Compartment and 2 CD/Mixer Case.
