Benefiting Students of the Performing Arts Since 1997
1997 A Portion of "EMILY BECK'S GRADUATION SPEECH"
The performing arts program also lent its shoulder to cry on when a good friend of all of ours, Tim Redovian, died earlier this school year. Tim died at age 16 but he accomplished things few people do in a lifetime. Shortly after his death I found myself constantly wondering, 'Why Tim?' "Why so young?' But after meeting his family and recognizing just how much Tim had accomplished in his short life I realized that our little Timmy had already grown his angel wings. With so much achieved in theatre, television and life, what more could this sweet soul do on earth to prove his greatness? And that is why our favorite little shooting star moved on to the biggest stage of all. I just hope I will get a front row seat! I beg you to use Tim's inspiration for life as a template for yours. You never know when your time will be called so make the most of life. I can only wish that I might inspire someone as much as Tim Redovian did for so many people Maybe we should all consider our feats and decide whether they are worthy of mentioning after we've left this life. Perhaps our thoughts on this subject will be a strong enough catalyst to stimulate a much stronger will for much better feats.
