“Yes, Tim and Torie and I were the “Three Amigos” during the six weeks at GHP. It was really great. Their wit and clever retorts freed my spirit which had had restraints placed on it . . . they let me find out who I love to be and encouraged him to come out. Of course so did most people down there but none with such omni acceptance as Torie and Tim. Through almost snorting coke through my nose at their mock weddings of people we knew down there during meal time and of their outrageous antics, which I learned to join in after awhile, I was able to enjoy life as never before; I haven’t enjoyed it as fully since. I still remember the way Torie’s voice sounded as I screamed my elated “Hello”, course and low pitched against my incredibly high, excited tone. It brought me down very quickly. Tim was sick.
I am writing an essay for the Honors Program at UGA right now. The question is “ If you could bring anyone to class for one day who would it be and why”? After weighing Thomas Jefferson and FDR against people like John Lake and Galileo, Tim definitely seemed the more amicable company. Your son touched my life with the most friendly and encouraging hand. Tim is truly special.”

“…I thought I’d just write a quick note to make sure ya’ll know how thankful I really am for knowing beautiful Tim…He has been such a blessing to me, and my heart is truly at ease knowing now that he is with our God - in the midst of the bright yellow sun. He’s inspired me and eased my aching heart even in the midst of his moving on…I’ve been inspired to choreograph a dance of joy in honor of Tim.”
“I know now those who knew and loved him will never forget him. I know for all of us it still seems as if Tim were here yesterday. My vision of him is crystal clear. He is standing and laughing and holding his arms open to all those he loved so much. While no one is ever going to have a chance to meet Tim or see him perform or feel his arms around them as he greets them with a hug and his famous smile we can help others catch a glimpse of Tim by sharing our memories of him.”
